Volkswagen MK7 to arrive later in 2012 for car finance customers

Volkswagen are now upto number seven – thats the VW Golf MK7 that is! Later on in 2012 we will see the release of the latest generation of one of the most iconic and easily identifiable motors on the UK’s roads. Volkswagen are going to unleash its full arsenal of engine options with the seventh incarnation of its best seller and this means a plug in hybrid that could be comfortable doing 243bhp at over 50mpg and even a super efficient natural gas offering. A new family of diesel motors will power the typical models and this means a non GTD 2.0 version that has 181bhp and also a twin turbo 220bhp choice too. The next gen Golf Gti is though to be fitted with a 260bhp 2.0 litre so finally gets the engine that its badge deserves and takes the brand back alongside rivals such as the  Focus ST, Astra VXR and the Megane Renaultsport too.Further innovation comes in the shape of the VAQ electronically controlled front diff that in testing allegedly helped reduce 8 seconds off the Nurburgring timings compared to standard diffs. The new MQB chassis will also allow all wheel drive and this is expected too along with an 8inch dashbopard touch screen interface, adaptive cruise control, fatigue detection and auto parking facility.
